Sabar (صبر) is an Arabic term that means patience, perseverance, and endurance. It is a highly valued virtue in Islam, emphasized in the Quran and Hadith. Sabar is the ability to remain steadfast during hardships, control one's emotions, and trust in Allah’s plan.

The Quran frequently mentions sabar, such as in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:153):
"Indeed, Allah is with the patient."

Sabar brings spiritual growth, inner peace, and ultimate rewards in the Hereafter. It is a key to success in both worldly and spiritual life.

وہ جو تہمت لگاتے ہیں مجھ پر

 میرے صبر کی مار کھائیں گے

یا رب وہ صبر عطا کر ، جس 

کے بعد کبھی حوصلہ نہ ٹوٹے۔

کچھ چیزیں رونے سے نہیں

صبر کرنے سے ملتی ہیں

اور بات جب مکافات عمل پہ آجائے تو

 انتظار خود بخود صبر میں بدل جاتا ہے

صبر کرنا اگر آسان ہوتا تو اللہ پاک

 نے صبر کرنے پر اتنا اجر نہ رکھا ہوتا
